I drive the wife crazy to in the same way. I have always been a very logical and rational person. My daughter is exactly like me in this way. My wife is artsy and emotional, so since us 3 now live together it is comical as heck.
Can you solve 8÷2(2+2)?

My wife is the same with numbers and details. She scans grocery store receipts after we pay and can spot an error in seconds. She will go to customer service and show where she was "cheated" out of 13 cents on tomatoes or something and won't leave until she gets her refund. Makes my life stressful at times...lolRocks, 88 Alpha, tommymonza and 4 others Thank this. -
I can do fairly complex math in my head quickly.
Its just how my brain is wired.
But like I said I don't get art, and many tv shows I watch all i think is how stupid.
I can't even watch the towing show made here in BC called Highway thru hell.
Its so fake and I just get annoyed.tommymonza and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -

That's easy, the answer is 1....I thought....but it turns out 16 is the answer as well, I guess it depends on who you ask. Math has changed a lot. I have teach math all over again to help my kids sometimes

It's 1.
8 divided by 2(2+2) Brackets first.
8 divided by 2(4) Then Exponents.
8 divided by 8 Then left to right.
1
These are the laws of mathematics.Rocks, kemosabi49 and tinytim Thank this.
