Can you spot the double brokered load?

nothing wrong with double brokered freight, as long as it pays good!
-
I was stationed there for a year. They have NASA R&D and an US Army basic electronics school and advanced schools for different missile systems. Basically an AIT base with a great NCO club!
aiwiron and rollin coal Thank this. -
Tri State Motor hauls a good bit, I know where they make the LAW rockets.
You are correct all are team loads and have prior checks done way before the standard back ground checks. Takes up to 6 months to get cleared sometimes. -
Didn't Menlo Logistics get a large piece of the AA&E pie several years ago and cheapen what had normally been fantastic rates?
aiwiron Thanks this. -
Yes, Menlo went in and it's been a headache trying to figure out the process.
I have talked to a couple different DLA offices and no two will give me the same answer how to get good paying freight. -
Well, depending of how much you want to be taken for. That is exactly why double brokering works for the scammers.
Legit broker has a load going from Orlando FL to Atlanta for $900.00 and the scumbag double brokering sells it to you for $1800.00... hard to pass when you've been sitting for a day and a half without freight. You will do the load, send the bills, they get Quick Pay and bail out of town. By the time both the legit broker and you find out about it, it is way too late.
Don't take double brokered freight!! -
You get the freight from Menlo. However last I heard, it's been a while, is that Menlo had enough carriers to deal with. In the beginning, Menlo paid great including great fuel surcharges which was lacking with the .gov only paying surcharge above $2.50 gallon. I used to haul a lot of Navy equipment, and I didn't haul a single piece last year. I attribute that to Menlo having favorites, but in reality it's no different than whoever was giving kickbacks to the logistics person on base getting all the freight.aiwiron Thanks this.
