My parking spot at home is getting really overgrown and I would love to get on top of my dry van with a chainsaw and have some fun. I’ve never been up there before though and I’m not sure if the roof of a dry van is strong enough to support the weight of a 250 pound guy with a chainsaw. Will I damage it if I get up there?
Can you stand on the top of a dry van?

You got any snow shoes to spread the weight a bit?
I wouldn't unless you stick to the edges.MachoCyclone, NavigatorWife, Midnightrider909 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Midnightrider909 and skellr Thank this.

I wouldn't do it. Maybe lay a piece of 4x8 plywood on the roof and walk on the plywood. It could still be risky if you walked on the edges of the plywood. Hire someone that trims trees for a living.

Get a couple of 10' 2x6's and lay them across the roof, side to side. Then you have a good surface to stand on.
tinytim and Midnightrider909 Thank this. -
sheet of plywood works for me, remember with tools and mishaps you be putting more weight than just you., do it sometimes because ladders and chainsaws irritate me.
