I just got my class A CDL. I took test in a 33,000 lb bucket truck with air brakes and automatic transmission, and I pulled a 24,000 lb flatbed trailer. The trailer had a pindle hitch. So I have a truck trailer (no semi) restriction and no manual transmission restriction. Can I tow with a fifth wheel trailer or gooseneck trailer since my testing trailer was only a pindle hitch?

You can pull a gooseneck trailer. You cannot pull a 5th wheel/kingpin trailer.

What is the “O” restriction? I just got my Class A CDL with E/O restriction. I took with an automatic truck with air brakes that weighed 33,000 lbs and pulled a trailer on a pindle hitch that was rated at 24,000 lbs.

Thanks. I was wondering if a Gooseneck or fifth wheel was allowed so it’s good to know that I can use a gooseneck since fifth wheel isn’t allowed.

The “O” restriction is for a semi truck. You didn’t take your test in a semi so you can’t drive one.

It's for any 5th wheel, not just a class 8 (semi). At least any CDL required 5th wheel.

Just go to CDL school for a couple months and get a real unrestricted CDL and be dive with it. It’s challenging at first, but not as much as you think.

You need to get out more. Even a 14K trailer will put you over and require a CDL A.
I got mine in the dually with a 26K trailer. The GCWR of the truck is 42K.
To the OP, as stated, Airbrake, Semi and Manual transmission restrictions unless the pickup still has stick shift. They are getting hard to find though.
To those who say go to a school, no school required for a CDL, the problem is, most people don't have access to a semi.
