I've heard there are some good ones, I've just never had dealings with them.
My wife was an MD for over fifty years. I'd tell her what I'd experienced and her opinions of how I as treated helped me understand whether or not I was getting good care. A layman doesn't always have the experience or knowledge to make the distinction between a responsible practice and a poor one. -
My doc at the VA here in Abq , nm said they do not do CDL physicals

And the Dr. doesn't need all that BS
As far as a card, Canadian drivers haven't needed one of those for at least 20 years if not more.
The medical is tied to your commercial license and if you don't pass a medical then your license is downgraded.
If your license is good, then your medical is good. -
It took me several years to figure out how to navigate the VA...but I finally got everything on autopilot as far as primary and cardiologist annual visits, meds getting mailed out and cpap supplies. As others have said, the VA is not perfect but it does the job for now at least.
I have tricare as a retiree but I haven't yet had a reason to use it because of doing everything through the VA. I imagine that could change if I ever end up getting married and want to put my wife on my health insurance.Lav-25 Thanks this. -
