it’s oral chemo not covered as in pill form. Some of it is very expensive depending on what is prescribed but Trillium grants are available to cover lions share if you qualify

 

I'm dreading having to find a doctor for my medical in a few months. Can't seem to find anybody accepting new patients.

 

There are some in Calgary. Even had the last one by drop in when the door unlocked first thingin the morning.
If you are in that area let me know.

 

I'm a few hours away but will definitely keep that in mind!

 

Never had an issue getting a medical done and I don't have a "family" doctor.

 

I go to a Nurse Practioner for my medical, half the price of doctor

No they don t. The pharmacy would not dispense chemo pills to my freind until they did a conference call with his insurance company and they confirmed they will pay for it.Face it folks Canadian healthcare ain't as great as you been led to believe.

 

If you can't find a Doctor, you might be able to get it done at a Walk in Clinic. At least you can in Ontario. Will have to make an Appointment though. my brother did that a couple of weeks ago. He procastinated and waited too long. His Doctor needed a 4 week appointment.
