I hear a lot of folks head to Mexico for procedures and just pay out of pocket rather than wait for months.

One of my good friends was in Mexico and joined in a game of beach volleyball, then promptly blew out his knee. They piled him into an old POS ambulance and hauled him to this dirty third world hospital where barely a few workers spoke english. After finally communicating to them he had money and good insurance, they loaded him into a brand new ambulance, and hauled him to a giant, brand new hospital. Everyone spoke english, and he says the experience was better than he received at any Canadian hospital. They did the surgery and turned him loose in 4 days. Cost him (and insurance) $24K.

 

Yeah and my 80 year old mother has lived in misery for months now with a bad knee,no surgeon in sight yet.Greatest healthcare in the world though fellas,at least that's what the sheep think.
