You figure there's any that ceased cross border operations over this? I doubt it.
-
None. They have all complied. If everyone shut down this would all be over in a week, but everyone is afraid of losing a little income/profit.

Schneider to shutter Canadian operations.
Wonder if the mandate had anything to do with the decision?Magoo1968 and Canadianhauler21 Thank this. -
It must because the majority, if not all of their freight, is cross border. I rarely see any of their trucks on the roads here. Never have I seen them at any of the paper mills in Quebec and paper is a hot commodity that we move into the US.Canadianhauler21 and AModelCat Thank this.

Are you shutting down and if so for how long?Last edited: Jan 15, 2022
Canadianhauler21 Thanks this. -
I rarely see any big US companies out this way. Seems like its mostly US owner ops or small fleets.Canadianhauler21 Thanks this.

Things are definitely not well. There is total lack of respect for labor, not just in trucking. Workers transformed into units of production subject to all forms of neglect and abuse. Coincidentally we are at the lowest point in recent history for organized labor groups (unions), and many regulations have also been removed as of late 70's. No one stood up to the corporations, nobody rose up in protest, the sheep just went to work to pay their bills and mortgages, meanwhile all integrities of labor have been systemically eroding. I'm afraid that if drastic change isn't soon implemented we will end up in even greater shackles. Things will continue to corrode into dysfunction, which in turn will instigate other catastrophes.
We can't keep voting for the same political parties as none of them offer any real solutions for necessary change. The Libs and Cons have been flipping power back and forth over the decades, and where did that get us but the disasters we witness today. Even the fringe PPC party isn't radical enough so we need new national socialist movements to rise about. See you at the bierhalle. -

We can only hope more follow suit. Personally I hope we see some major supply chain breakdowns.Magoo1968 Thanks this.
