For now. The only reason there has been no traffic in the GTA for the last month is because school is from home. That's changing coming Monday. Let's see how it is then. I know from Whitby, ON to Etobicoke on took me 1 hour and 40 minutes in morning rush hour traffic, that usually takes 45 minutes.

Not to mention the 401 between Kingston and Cornwall seems to close at times when people wreck out and you have to take EDR.

If you like the run take it. All I'm saying is it isn't always a walk in the park sharing the highway on that corridor.

No. I live about half hour away from their yard and I've hardly see any of their trucks for the past few years in the area. Also knew a guy that was o/o with them and retired probably 4 years ago now, he said back then this was coming. They were shifting things over to internet based Dispatching as he called it and he figured it would lead to this.

I wonder how close they were to scrapping the requirement. 16 hours to 'correct' the record is a long time for something like this.

One of the sources said the border agency only issued that statement after it consulted with the Public Health Agency of Canada, which told them that day that truckers would retain their exemption from the vaccine mandate beyond Jan. 15.

In fact, the Public Health Agency of Canada had drafted a similar statement to be issued on Jan. 12. That statement, which has been viewed and verified by The Canadian Press, said: "Unvaccinated, or partially vaccinated, Canadian truck drivers arriving at the border (would) remain exempt from pre-arrival, on arrival and post-arrival testing and quarantine requirements as crew members."

So Canada reversed the de ision. They could not run a lemonade stand. No one knows what they are doing. Totally incompetent. But drivers will still not be allowed unvaccinated into the US.
