Not sure if this is the right place to ask, and I have been searching around everywhere and making phone calls but can not get the information I need. I am a owner/ operator in Canada, looking to start hauling loads of grain from southern Sask and Manitoba across the border in to North Dakota, Montana and Minnesota. What all do I need to be able to cross the border and operate in the States? Dot number, Fuel Tax, etc, etc. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Go here: https://li-public.fmcsa.dot.gov/LIVIEW/PKG_REGISTRATION.prc_option
You need Dot and MC numbers for a Canadian carrier, they will tell you the rest of what you need, such as insurance filing and BOC3 filing. If you join the OOIDA you can get help from their business services people as well. It's not hard, just time consuming.Chevyho Thanks this. -
