Canadians Getting US Insurance

@bonder45 I chose the same path as you E2 Visa. I'm in the process of setting up new business and get trucking authority for the state of Texas. I have 4 years of long haul Canada to US experience. I have emailed 2 insurance brokers today, hopefully soon I'll have a quote. I know someone in texas who came to US a year ago on E2 and he is paying around $40K which is crazy. I then started to do research and came across your post. I have a clean record and please guide me on that and which insurance companies or agent I should focus on

 

I'm doing the same right now, been here in TX for a year. I got started with Progressive, $24k first year for basic ins on 1 truck. Just got my renewal yesterday and because of 1 bad inspection, nothing else, it's now gonna be $102k for 2 trucks. I got Daniel working on this and hopefully I've got a better option. I just made a new post in the Canadian section about a CDL, let me know if you guys have any insight to that as it greatly affects ins pricing also.

 

How long did the process take to get that e2 visa?

Hi Bonder45 you have been very helpful on this forum and have read all of your messages , I am almost in a same boat , Canadian with CDL for many years now in process of getting My E2, is there anyway that I can contact in a PM, don’t know how to reply you in private as I have many questions.
