I didn't know semis were using obd2 ports.
-
But using this you will still be missing things the ELD still requiresKB3MMX Thanks this.
-
Like, for example, what?
-
I am going by what the ELD dept at RM told me... Volvo also cannot guarantee the port output to an ELD... as the prior user said, you have to use the spider cable.
Something like this..
Spider Cable for TND 760 (Volvo)KB3MMX Thanks this. -
I'm not seeing tha spider having the same plug
-
I
t doesn't it connects in the fuse box NOT under the dash. Volvo has dedicated cables for the eld in the fuse box -
Omg ... to the op, they make adapters for Mack/Volvo trucks, we get them from the eld companies when the units are installed.
I don't have extras to give anyone, but it is the odb to j1939 adapter.
all elds are supposed to work with the diagnostic protocols.
Volvos system will work with each eld because of the standards within the protocols. -
So how does the fuse box supply engine data used for the eld?
-
There are 3 cables to connect. The power that plugs in directly to the fuse panel, and 2 data cables that connect to dedicated data cables n the fuse panel. You need to contact the eld manufacturer they can explain more or give you a link to view an installation video.
