One day I was at a Pilot near Chicago and there was a bin filled with random gloves. Inside I found the best gloves ever, and I have searched for another similar pair, even online, and cannot find them. Here are the things about these gloves that make them unique:
- they actually come in a large size as I have big hands, XL - XXL
- they have a really soft insulated cotton interior which always feels comfortable
- they have wide opening so I do not have to pull them on or off. I can just slide my hands into them and shake them off to remove
- nice leather exterior, but wouldnt mind a waterproof nylon or something to keep the fuel off my hands better
I cannot find any gloves like this anywhere and the brand name isn't listed on them. Is there a special glove store perhaps that may carry something like this?
Cannot find my favorite gloves anywhere

I like Regular leather Wells Lamont brand with the drawstring that tightens the fit. I keep three pair on the truck- one for work, one specifically for fuel, and a new pair to replace any that I might lose. I rotate them, tossing my fueling pair and moving my working pair in its place, and breaking open the new pair for my new work gloves. Anal, I know, but I know how much a good pair of gloves mean to folks.
As for your glove needs, try Carhartt.com. Every stitch of clothes I wear is Carhartt except or my drawers and socks. You just can't beat them for clothes you can work in. I've always wanted to try the gloves but I haven't found them where I buy my clothes. I know people use them, so I guess they are an Internet-only item. If you get a pair, let me know how they work.NewNashGuy Thanks this. -

farm stores like Big R, Farm and Fleet, Fleet Farm, Tractor Supply, etc.... usually have a good selection of work gloves. I don't care for the insulated ones, I like the thin leather ones the best.
I agree with you on limited sizes, my hands aren't THAT big, and I have a hard time finding gloves that fit at truckstops.NewNashGuy and Jakaby Thank this. -
