Hi everyone I'm 2 weeks into trucking with a good sized company and I'm finding out that everyone is on a 9-5 schedule Monday- Friday and if you need any help outside of those hours, well ur ####ed! I cannot reach my dispatcher by phone at all. Is this normal in trucking companies? If you can't reach a shipper by the garbage number you have or you can't find the address- because they have 2 addresses!!- are u just basically ####ed if it's after 5 their time? I do have a manager I'm able to reach but only during those hours, if I didn't I would quit.

Would help to know what company you drive for. Possibly someone here might have a contact number for you.

Some companies it is very common to only have dispatchers in the office during set time, however there is Italy an emergency number or a night dispatch number to call. I mean how else would you report if your in a accident?

    Middleagedrookie Thanks this.

That's about right. Sometimes they answer or leave the 24/7 phone on the desk Relax and find some way to amuse yourself until morning

Qualcomm or Peoplenet messaging an option? The plus: Your jam is in writing.

Did you get orientation materials? There might be an after hours number listed.
