it sounds like you need to get your background yourself and see what is there. It may have something wrong or even more than should be ! Just saying

Sorry to hear that, OP. I am in a similar situation and cant get hired because I have been unemployed for 2 years. Nevremind my excellent prior work history, recommendation letters from previous employers, and a degree. I would have been accepted by a trucking company had I been flipping burgers for the last 2 years. Awesome logic.

Sorry to say, but these policy's are lame for the type of work involved (no disrespect to the drivers or industry). Take the OP for example. He has been clean for 9 years but they want 10 years. That 1 years makes all the difference. These employers have high standards and are way too picky for an industry that requires you be away from your family for long periods of time and has an extremely high turnover rate. And it's not like you make the big bucks.

    End rant.

I was hired at May Trucking with a 9 year old felony conviction and an 8 month employment gap. I do have a perfect driving record, so that may have helped me out... The big starters might have taken me, but I didn't apply with them, so I don't know (I did get a "pre-hire" from Covenant). If you're in May's hiring area, give them a try.

there is a thread here about a company called carolina something or other that hires people with less then perfect records. they dont pay s#$%, but they will give you a chance. if i was in your situation i would consider them over CR England.( i use CRE as an example because i hear they will recruit anyone including ppl in homeless shelters)

99.9% of the time it's not the company it's there insurance that will not allow you to be hired. You think for a second these particular companies are turning away anyone with a pulse?

2 years probation for a petty theft seems kinda stiff. No other priors? How's your MVR and did you have to fill out an app and does it read like your posts?
