Maybe she did the legal thing?
This reminds me of the government employee, while waiting in line for an hour says as I get to the window its my break time puts a sign at her window and walks away.

why not call ahead and tell the boss i'll be out of hours at such and such a place , send a driver there to meet her .that way she would have covered her but whether they sent someone or not...

How did she wind up in the van with the relief drivers? Dispatcher for Greyhound should have some idea of her hours.

Is the prison making them run over their HOS or did she run into other issue's that would of allowed her to continue on with the load of prisoners:biggrin_2554:

I hope she logged line 4 when she was riding in the other bus:biggrin_25523:

I wonder what the story behind the wording, "Former Prisoners," is. Where they being released?

Railroads have the same problem. Trains are parked miles from their destination while a fresh crew is brought out by taxi cab.

"The work schedules of rail crewmembers permit repetitive 12-hour days that we know lead to cumulative fatigue, and when the workers’ commute, limbo time, and family responsibilities are factored into their daily schedules, the conditions for exceedingly long days leading to acute fatigue are evident. Limbo time refers to a crew’s time spent awaiting transportation and travel time to their final release point after the expiration of their service time (which can be substantial, adding additional hours to the work day). The relatively short mandatory periods of time off currently in place do not afford the opportunity for fully restorative sleep."
