Once upon a time there was a person that handed out tax breaks like candy to companies and business that gave these people jobs .. This so call man’s name is not worthy of mentioning at the risk of the mods ruling this a political post and deleting it

It is a requirement to operate a commercial motor vehicle per subsection 391.11 (b)(2) of the FMCSR. Emphasis added.

I understand the feeling in this particular case, but in Europe many drivers who don't speak the local language are criss crossing the continent and sometimes beyond every day without this sort of consequence. I realise that N. America, with the exception of Mexico is a largely English speaking continent but with important safety signs being almost universal it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Drivers from the UK for instance often pass through at least 6 different language situations in a single trip and, in the boom days of the '80s way beyond that as far as India and through Russia and elsewhere as far as the Chinese border.
I even managed to drive without incident in Australia. :biggrin_2551:

Can one of you tell me if the worldwide red STOP sign exists in Quebec? I read somewhere that they insist on ARRET there. :D Even here in France it says STOP.;)
