1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. seems to me that AT $.35-45 and able to haul 6 cars would be $2.10-2.70/mile and at even only 6MPG or $3/gal. = $.50/ mile. Minus taxes, insurance, misc., (addt'l. $.50-.80) comes to $.80-$1.50/mile . What did I miss? That's over $1500/wk at only 2000 miles per week.

So I'm hoping you're not upset with the economy and trucking if you're making that much and not driving a $100K setup like a lot of folks are and probably not making 3 grand a week. I'd be happy with that and believe most would as well. Good job and keep it up. Thats great and encouraging for us green drivers.

when you haul at cheap rates (under $0.55 per mile per vehicle) it ruins good rates for everyone else because then the brokers think they can get away with booking a load to a transporter cheaply and then a domino affect kicks in all the brokers start dropping there rates because they know they can get away with it.

Even if a broker has a vehicle posted a little bit on the cheap side tell them you cant do it unless they bring the price up.

If its $450 for car going 1000 miles tell them you can do it $575 and you will probably end booking it for $500-525)

Dont be afraid to ask for more money the brokers are making so much money on every booking it is really quite sad to be a transporter. They make almost as much as the transporter and if not more on a booking then the transporter.

PLEASE DO NOT HAUL Vehicles and freight at CHEAP RATES
