I just don’t understand some people. If something sucks change whatever it is that causes it to suck.

Gotta be honest, I have been knocking on the new truck door for the last couple of years, but because of order banks on new truck full or can't get what I want, I have waited,,,,,,,Now I'm not positive that I want to put my name on paper for another 5 years in this environment, really keeps me up some nights on how to move forward???

You mean to tell me you wouldn’t haul an Econoline for 14cents a mile! Lol I don’t know why the folks that haul off load boards don’t filter that junk out.

You mean you dont want to join the 150k club and work 50 hour weeks, you must be doing something wrong. Just filter out the the cheap freight and all that will be left is $6 mile loads lol

You just can’t make any money leased to a carrier. Either that or I can’t take 6 weeks off this year. Something has to give because it is hard getting by on this. It is almost impossible to invest $1200 a week towards retirement.

looks great Banker, but serious question, I can read a P&L and a Tax spread sheet, BUT, since I have only ever been self employed or had employees, own the trucks and paid a W2, I just want to make sure I am reading your stats correctly,,,,,oo, rent? oo non rent? can I assume that you are on some kind of a lease purchase and are 1099ed?? Thx

There is no lease purchase. I paid for the truck outright when I built it in 2016. One check to Fitzgerald gliders and another to Rush Peterbilt for the headrack and trailer. About mid year 2019 the carrier started this OO Rent and OO Non Rent. This is strictly a bookkeeping term. I am leased to a carrier and am paid revenue and fuel surcharge. The wage category on expenses is due to being overpaid on one settlement and paying it back on the next. Normally I have 3 categories of revenue. Rent, non rent (IE Revenue or Freight charges) and fuel surcharge.
