I’ve got two monoxide monitors; 1 is down where I sleep and the other is mounted up high. Also, next to the one up high is a smoke detector.

I got one not long after I started. It's a simple home one that runs off a 9 volt battery. I have it mounted close to where I lay my head when in the sleeper bunk.
I parked next to a guy that had a 110 Volt window AC unit gerry rigged to his passenger side window and he was running it off a poorly tuned gas generator. It smell was noxious! Made me think and next time I was at a store, I got the monitor, just in case. I do wish to wake up at some point. CO will put you to sleep for good, which ain't good! -
Thought I would throw this into the conversation

Just what I found about detector placement, I don't have a clue otherwiseflood Thanks this.
