I read some of your tags.......I'll be doing fb with a couple hd's. I know one thing, I can't take the stress and lack of respect at my place I'm leaving.......morons leading the laziest drivers on the planet....I can't tell you how many times I heard....''I'm not delivering that''!.
I'm 50 years old an still have a few deliveries in me,so when I start for Cardinal in a few weeks, best thing is anything the moffet can't handle I won't get. Most if not all of my work will be during daylight hours. I'm still worried a lil' bit bout gw(greatwide). They could take one look at what we are doing and might start slashing the payrate for us drivers

 

well i know currently the contract with office depot the payscale is set. office depot pays cardinal a set rate for everymile. so if im trucking 1 pallet 500 miles or 24 pallets 500 miles its the same cardinal recieives. with this office max merger not sure if cardinal will stay or not. not worrying about it. if it ends, it ends. if they cut my pay now i would start calling off, and become a careless employee. I really do my best to be realiable and get things done effeiciently.i feel here in jersey i make more then what most truck drivers make. the avg here i would say is 1100 a week for 60 hours. Im pulling in 1300-1350 for those hours. not sure cardinal or any company really truely cares how hard the drivers working or how much crap he deals with. as long as that load is deleivered. i will give credit to my specific location, they gave me some gift cards to applebees for doing a good job not getting tickets or accidents. i know when i go to Conneticut i see a few cardinals doing the home depot job site deliveries with moffet. i have a home depot right next to the cardinal yard in nj and the home depot truck with the moffet hardly moves. cant see how that driver makes any money. then again in jersey jb hunt has the hd account. who know,every company tries to undercut the next and in the end the drivers getting paid crap wages for it. the way i see things jb hunt will own every sginle account out there and pay there driver pathetic money to do it. 850-900 gross a week for 60 hours. ill get a job at a pet store and feed fish for 500 a week and not be jeaporidizing my sanity or liscense doing it

 

I worked for Cardinal in Fontana California on their Walmart Produce Account. Best job I ever made the mistake of quitting. When I returned to California I tried to come back but they had a no rehire policy in effect and I was turned down.

yea im pretty content on what the payrate is for my dedicated run with cardinal. Will see what GW does to screw things up. I dont tolerate alot of bs so once i smell it ill start "hunting" for a new gig. until then status quo....

 

Where you an owner operater/company driver on that walmart produce acc. I drove for an o.o.on a cardinal walmart produce acc. curious on how/where to get info on being an o.o.for cardinal?
