In my current career "thick skin" is necessary so there's no issue with that. I deal with people all day long from all walks of life and have so my entire career. For me, it's time to take a break from "people" and be more independent and work alone. People can cause a ton of stress on you and it would be nice to put all that behind me one day. I don't mind dealing with people on occasion but in my current job it's relentless. The absolute peace behind the wheel and the road would be a welcomed change for sure. Yeah, there's the traffic to deal with (been there, done that) but I would rather deal with that any day than what I do now. Every day is an aggravation and a huge stress on me. It's time....

Did you go read the post I told you about? If you did, did you notice I wrote it before you made your OP. That's not a coincidence, that's a wakeup call.

Yeah I read it thanks. Got it. I don't have anything else to add. I will research all this and eventually come to my own conclusions about a career change.

If you're able to quit your present job and can live for at least 8 months with no income you could have a very good job with the possibility of retirement. If you can do this then go for it. Enroll in a good CDL school and get trained. The best schools reported on this group (IMHO) are the community colleges. Get you're CDL and apply at any local gasoline tanker company. You'll gain the experience and make a few bucks. Then after a year or two go after the high paying gas haulers and make the big dollars. If you decide to go this route I can explain in detail later.
