LOL
Not sure if you all know what "Partyline" is ? If not, it's a call in program where you can buy, sell, trade or give away items. I called in last week and asked to talk to a Werner driver, gave phone number and waited. 2 calls came in. One just laughed and laughed when I told them what I planned on doing and the other said that he was very happy with Werner.(he's a team company driver)
Every time I hear bad, I most of the time hear good from someone else. The bad is starting to mount up though and the good has stopped:smt039 -
rofl i like that and the reality is they do want you to only have 6 months

Another 2 questions...
What's the chance of having a Nation Wide Truckers Strike?
IF I don't stay with Werner and by the sounds of you guys I probably won't. What company would be the best to go with? (best home time and pay, plus no forced NYC) -
Getting all the truckers in the nation to take a week vacation at the same time will never happen. Too many independent thinking drivers.

KCorey what was your month like at HiLL and Hill, were you home at all?what was the yearly pay like? how long did you work there? Did trucking allow you a nice retirement? thanks for the answers

When I as with Hill and Hill, I drove this truck:
I left Illinois for California with Meat and returned with Produce. Each turn around took 6 to 7 days, payed me $1100, and I was home for 2 to 3 days and then do it again...........Some trips (dang few) did not go as planned due the occasional problems that you can not control.
Retirement? If you want retirement, go find a union job.........Don't believe everything you hear about a 401K Plan Either.
I retired because I have a medical problem that will not allow me to get a medical card.................. -

And we all've heard a good sob stories every now and then, while they may be true, it my opion, that first of all you do not know his spending habits, you also do not know if he is capeble of driving the miles, that woluld give a good pay check. to assume every driver deseves a great living is obserd( you know there are alot of drivers who will only work
so many hours in a day, there are also driver's that hang out in a truck stop avoiding the loads, driver's who say "no i can't take that load it is to
far from my home( NEWSFLASH you will sometime have to send you the wrong way, to get you a load) By far the biggest porion that complains are owner opps, they ***** and***** about not haveing
money, but yet there truck are pete's & kenworth's with studio slepers, they have the full fenders, and all the chicken lights they will ever need. My point is this i make a realy good livng i love my job, but i work
hard for it, there have been many times i was home late( I did'ent park at truck stop and tell everybody "there trying to screw me") I drove the thing
hard and got the job done. as a result that company gave me the good loads, because they knew it would get done.
I know bad thing's happen to good people, but more often than not they are just lazy. and there are a lot of lazy trucker's
