let me officially throw out the red carpet to all who read the new thread. Pan you and a few other fellow drivers and some non drivers and ex drivers have been really good friends to me and will be forever greatful for your friend ship.

Ya you are right it was starting to feel like a central and newbie only thread and just because it says cargo express thats not the intent i want for this thread i want all drivers newbies and wanna be driver to come to this thread and BS and pass along good info about their company, school or expierence they have had, and questions will always be answered on here. i was getting the impression that those who were seeking info were not getting any like it was in the beginning of the thread and some questions were ignored so it was time to start this new thread. yup kinda steep especially since i paid 126 for a whole year at central. To have jess on for a whole year will cost me 360

 

So far this has been my experience with Cargo a i did an online application 2wks ago WED and called a couple of days later on friday i took the drug screen and got the official application to fill out over the weekend and was told orientation was on Monday

The reasons why i gave them a shot was my sister in law worked there a couple of years ago and said it wasn't a bad company it was in boise so i wouldnt have travel expenses and they are very pet friendly. its a small company and you are known as a name not a number.

On monday i was having problems with my GMC and was almost late to the orientation i had to walk in the pouring rain to get there on time. I made it there soaked to the bone, finished my app and watch a couple of videos. around 12 Bob Safety/recruiting like i said a small company. said i needed to go and get my physical done and when i told him i was having problems he gave me the use of the companys Yukon, by the way it's a fully loaded SUV even had onstar in it. got back the GMC started and watched a couple of more videos before ending the day and bob had one of the mechanics take me to the GMC.

Tuesday did the road/ backing test passed and they were going to give me a truck and a load that very day but because of the problems with the GMC i was not ready but i said i would be tomarrow so Bob said be here at 8am ready to go.

WED at 7am jess, tinkerbell, my nephew and i were at the Terminal with
a fully loaded santa fe. Jess needed to use the restroom but we had tink. Alan at the front desk said is your dog potty trained and we said yes and he said bring her on in we are very pet friendly and even the owners dog was walking around inside the terminal. I was hoping for a T600 or a T660 and not a 9400 INT what i wound up with was a 2010 Prostar.

Even before i was finished inspecting it i had a FM Steve and a load going to knoxville heck i didnt have a single thing put in the truck yet. so we just threw everything in the truck and it was off to the races. i had to get an empty Trl in boise and pick up the load in Parma, ID and along the way when time permitted started to get the truck in order. So far My FM has been great and very helpful. JJRanch.
