Another night of cooking in another trucks heat last night.
It is hot here in Springfield though, so I may have to idle tonight even though I do not want too.
I am still trying to work my truck back up to 64, but still at 62.
I was at 28% idle when I got service 2 weeks ago, so I will have them check it again tomorrow at Ft. Smith, see if I am close or not.
I have had to idle 4 hours so far this week and may have too again tonight for a while. I have been running well though so the idle percent is still dropping.

So how ya liking the new trk CD? Wish these 600' and 660's had anywhere near the room of a freightshaker.
Gotta admit that this 660 is getting better mileage than the 600 did. 600 averaged # 6.2 and the 660 is between 7.2 and 7.5 so far. Ooops, let me take that back. Last tank was 5.3 but that involved a regen at the KW in Richfield. Wondering what the mileage will be like when I get a meat or beer load. -
so today i had my physical. did the usual pee, blood, eyes. but after that it was a all different AGAIN.
2 years ago they checked my nuts. 2 years before that it was my a--hole. i mean, WTF. does the govt pass new rules every year for those physicals or is it based on age. cuz if they wanna fail me. then fail me for my ###. cuz the blood ain't flowing in there anymore and now it's making my knees stiff and sore unless i raise the seat to get the blood flowing again. SHEESH.
i just can't sit like i used too anymore.
we need a websight for the exams every year. so we know what to expect. -
WOW now get to see what you truckers do to us tow truck drivers lol. I did it for 15 yrs before going to the big trucks lol as a driver instead of a rescue person.

uestions? -
I like the way the 660 looks allot more than this trucks though.
Milage is good in it, but since they bought only stripped out trucks it is lacking in good usable storage.
Stuck in Terre Haute tonight. I see some Centrals are here.
I have been seeing quite a few Cargo trucks around but mainly the trucks I see hauling those trailers are DSCO.
I talked to one of the old drivers from that company about a month ago. He seemed pretty happy. -
Well i am doing a mini hometime after my stand in as a tow truck driver and i must say its a little harder than i thought, It took a little bit to get it hooked up to Big Ben and in the process the chain slipped and bent the mudflap hanger but i finally got it hooked up when i left out of Kenworth ,the truck was do fine in the first turn then the steering wheel turned on me causing the truck i was towing to drift in the left lane and it didnt help that the traffic was heavy. i finally man handled the steering wheel enough to get the steer tires straight enough and wedged a tire pressure gauge in the steering wheel knuckle to keep the steering wheel from turning which later on i replaced with a pair of pliers and also wrapped the seatbelt around the steering wheel as a secondairy precaution in case the pliers came out. she was going good for a while until the santa ana winds did a number on the bat wing on the driver side of the truck. Keep in mind i was towing the truck backwards. by the time i made it just north of winnemucca, Nv it was bad enough that i used my hammer to knock the bat wing the rest of the way off and made it to boise without further problems. i did back it up next to another broke cargo truck in the yard and it was a little bit of a challenge but i got the job done, the student that was going through idaho provisioners driving school at the yard thought it was amazing but to me it was just another day at work. tomarrow i will take big ben back to denver and pick up another reefer and be back to hauling freight again. Will i ever do it again in the future, maybe but it was an experience i can add to my list of things ive done in my truckking career. Fataboy wont be coming back out with me, he will be taking a break with jess until they all come out with me in a few weeks. JJRanch.

Yeah only a few hrs and JJ will be back on the Road!! Fataboy will be heartbroken when he realises he isn't going back out with JJ!
it was a short break and I hate that he is going back out without me oh well its only another month and I will be back out there with him.
