I hate to admit this but first thing that crossed my mind was #### I could get guys fresh out of jail, pay them 12¢ a mile and maybe try to get rich. I always thought if I bought a second truck I'd have to pay 50¢ For a driver to take my rig. This gives me food for thought.

Kudos to you open for doing what you got to do for your kid. Keep that attitude and you'll overcome your past mistakes and build a life for you and your son you can be proud of.
As for those that don't like CC. Sure for the average driver it's a crap company. But when your options are almost non existent otherwise it makes a #### fine stepping stone on the path to a better life and for a guy with pride like the op it sure beats welfare. Give him a year or so and he will be making more than half the posters on this thread. You can't stop a guy that just won't give up.LilRedRidingHood, mitrucker, Just passing by and 5 others Thank this. -
Again, I don't disagree. All I'm saying is CC is taking advantage of people's situations and it is not good. They are basically paying below minimum wage to live in a truck full time with another person. It does not seem fair to me to drive this industry's wages down to the point of below fast-food, we have a hell of a lot of responsibilities and risks.
But whatever, most everyone is okay with a carrier paying 10c to a driver. To each his own.Canned Spam and TruckerSlim Thank this. -

What is your 1st months pay overall, everybody keeps saying 10 cents a mile, we know that but why does nobody straight up tell you how much they made there 1st month after taxes. This would be very helpful. Carolina is the only company who will hire me, I'm ok with the 10 cents a mile, but I have a car note & rent that equal to 800$ a month, will I be able to maintain with this 10 cents a mile with Carolina cargo. Your honesty will be very helpful
