Me personally, my trainer was a cool guy. We hung out and celebrated when I completed my training phase and everything. I also keep in contact with him from time to time.

I may have gotten lucky, who really knows? All I know for certain is everyone's experience in trucking seems to vary from outstanding to mediocre to very poor. It doesn't matter what carrier you haul for. I've met many experienced drivers who work for Jb Hunt tell me that they are the best large trucking company, but many of you will say they are garbage and not worth your time.

I met a young man a month ago and he told me that he was waiting on his fourth trainer. THAT'S RIGHT! FOURTH TRAINER! We talked and he tried to play the victim role. He claimed that his last trainer said that he couldn't handle the truck well enough and that he weaved in his lane a lot. Ok, so I boldly asked him "Is that all that happened?". He admitted that he was chastised for speeding as well. I never asked him about his experiences with the other two trainers because I already figured beside the fact that he couldn't drive a truck very well that he had to have ATTITUDE, LISTENING and PERSONALITY issues in order for him to go through three trainers.

My opinion is this and will always remain the same. It is unlikely that a trainer at most companies will fluke a student because he doesn't like him or her. Why lose out on bonus money because I don't like your kind of people? If you can drive you are moving on, PERIOD!

But on a smaller scale, I can imagine the op's situation can occur from time to time. Keep in mind for every negative training post on here hundreds if not thousands of students every month succeed and upgrade to their own truck.

I wish the op the best of luck. If he can drive he'll make it regardless if his trainer likes him or not.

You have some ######## trainers like that at CC.
I left there because I was not going to be forced into training someone who was a smoker.
For start,,I was not a trainer and had a partner and having a partner that your compatible with is priceless out on the road. Don't worry about what this guy said and if he was not a felon then he really had no business working there unless he had a personality defect that kept getting him fired everywhere else.

www.roadtex.com based in New Jersey and I think they hire from most everywhere.

Your wife doing some traveling; that's good. Your Queen has a good life it seems. Hong Kong is OK in my opinion. We have a home in Beijing, but I wish it was by the ocean; maybe Hainan Island.

PI&I Motor Express hires felons and ex-cons.
    Several others do also:
    USA Truck sometimes does.
BT Express Global Services in Weatherford, Oklahoma does.

You sound like a very sue happy person based on your posts. If anything it sounds like the company reprimanded the trainer for supposedly making comments about the OP's dress and hair. So what kind of "racial discrimination" took place? He could just request a black trainer to prevent any racial or cultural clashes.

Thanks for your personal analysis. I guess I wouldn't call myself sue-happy, but when somebody violates the law at my expense, I wouldn't hesitate to make that situation right. Most people will say, 'forget it and move on.' But that's how they get a way with it. Know what I mean?

There is a time and place for lawsuits. But I don't think not being done 100% right at some crappy trucking job is one of them.
