I freaking love stories of disrespectful shippers and receivers "calling your boss" only to have the independent carrier answer their own phone. I love it. Lol.

Oh... That was only the beginning.

I was actually stunned when he stepped on my shoes.

I've only pulled that 1 pipe load as an owner op. Even for over $6/ mile (350 miles), it's not worth it to me. I've had problems with yard boys before (you pull into a yard with a piece of equipment, the guy working out in the yard, washing down equipment comes up running off at the mouth. You ask him calmly, "Are you the person that signs the bills", and when he says no, you tell him to ####).
I have never seen a yard boy as nasty as Shorty. You know how much energy it takes to be that nasty??? I knew I couldn't have been the only one to run into this guy.

He better have a good dental plan if he tried that w/ me. Intentionally stomping somebody's toe without their permission to do so is battery, plain and simple. You attack me, I will defend myself with any means I have available at the time...perhaps I'll use my winch bar to check the quality of your hardhat...or maybe my framing hammer/tire thumper will test the integrity of your safety glasses. I won't know until the situation arises based upon what I have in my hand readily available...but whatever it is, you won't like it, so I'd suggest keeping your feet off my toes. Steel toe or not, it's still going to piss me off, and you're still going to get hurt...unless by some unforeseen miracle I'm able to somehow refrain from knocking you on your ### following the attack in which case I'll simply call the cops and report the attack. Then you can be fitted with a set of chrome bracelets and be on your way to make new friends with Bubba. Hell, even if you swallowed a few teeth a half second after your boot hit my toe, I'd still probably make that call to report the attack and my defensive response to it.

Bottom line, don't stomp on my toes. No matter how the incident plays out, it will not end well for you.

It went very well.....shipper was out of everything to buy that I needed...so I took carpet and duct taped it around my pipe stakes....which I purchased from Big Als truck and trailer. They had a crane with a suction type thing to unload and load.

Only problem I had was my lighting for the 2 states I had to permit....Ive run into this during the spring/summertime also but, I always tried to skate by. I need a bracket mounted on both sides near the rear like a lot of guys do for strobes.....Ive stopped by 3 places in the past 4 days and no one can make one....I have a Freightshaker Columbia condo so it would have to go one the side like I see other guys...is there a specific place to buy the/a bracket??
