Carrier management : Logical ?

Figure this one out:

My carrier has a sh###y load, no one wants it, too cheap and takes too long but my carrier has to take it cause he has the sister co.'s work a few miles away so he made a deal......... ok, fine.

So hear the chitty load comes up this wknd and no one will pull it.........

So my carrier calls an outside carrier and pays them a full rate plus FSC to do it .....rather than give us a little more.

Where's the logic??

 

Read this months trucker rag...... surveyed carriers report empty seats, unable to add business and having to change the way they do business because there aren't enough drivers, a driver shortage!!

So here they whine about drivers yet we all know any carrier could easily have full seats and a waiting list of qualified drivers, if they wanted to......

Where's the logic????
