Sitting at the house , a expedite load comes up on the load board. A broker Fitzmark out of Chattanooga, I call and accept the load. The guy says you never been inspected ? He says I am looking at 411 and it says you have never been inspected. I ask how far does it go back ? He says he doesn’t know. I have had my numbers since 2009 and have been inspected numerous times. Since 2020 when nobody was running I focused servicing our Electrical Grid . I travel Ohio and surrounding states usually home every day, the scales I go thru never stop me anymore, they are used to seeing me. Companies policy not to used carriers not showing inspections on 411. Good luck getting the load done before 4 pm on a Friday

I think a lot of brokerages are becoming more cautious about using carriers without inspections. It is unfortunately driven by the number of scammers/double brokers out there, this is one of the ways to avoid them because if they were actual trucking companies they usually have inspections.

They did not move that load. Probably a new brokerage box them selves in. I looked on my SAFER page sure enough I have not had a inspection for 24 months. I don’t know about scamming or double brokers I am just one truck operation.

Same thing here. There’s a whole list of Brokers using 411. Last inspection I had was in 2019. Had a couple in 2018. 411 says I started in 08, and have 0 inspections. I started in 04, had a In House Audit in 08. Have had well over 60 inspections. 411 uses AI to determine a high likelihood that I’m a Double Broker. IT’s rediculous. Some of the Carriers have booked Liads with me within the last year. They won’t take the time to look into it. Just have to abide by their new “Policy”. I’ve had a few override it. I sent copies of my inspections and pictures of my Truck/Trailer Plates, permits, Drivers License and myself. Some won’t bother. The Larger the Company, the less chance of getting approved. Some I’ve pulled fir dozens of times. It’s a joke. No recourse with Carrier 411. They won’t even take a call from a Carrier. They’ll block your number after one attempt. They claim to be only using info available on Fmcsa Safer website. Tell you to send any complaints to them. However they are making false assumptions, and claim to not be responsible due to the assumptions being made by AI program. I contacted Ooida. They’re sending me a form to file a complaint with the Fmcsa. Also a Bbb complaint in Florida. I want a Lawsuit fir defamation of character and monetary damages. Like to see a class action Lawsuit put these Scumbags out of Business. The Owner is a Shady character. Living outside the US to avoid extradition on charges for another scam. Something like that anyway. Shame on these Companies for hurting honest small Businesses, by being too lazy to do their homework, relying on bad technology, and enriching the real crook in the equation. Unbelievable. I’d like to at least organize against booking with these Brokers. A blacklist of my own. It’s only fair. Works both ways. At least it should.

Look at from a brokers point of view.... I post a NJ to IL load and i take 40 calls on it it 5 mins. The second my load hits the board i see Rolling Meadows/Lake in the Hills/Plainfield, IL on my caller ID. Some shady dude in another country who can barely articulate a sentence in English wants the details... I look up his MC# and see 10 freight guards for shady things.... he doesn't get the load. Some guy named Jim calls me, waits patiently on hold and asks the details. I run him on 411 and see some BS report about being late. Jim has an articulate response to the report. Jim also has a reasonable rate. Jim gets the load.

I have a carrier that has done 700 loads with my company. Only 1 fallout listed. He is an F on Assure. WHY? They dont get inspections running at night in TX/NM/AZ...Once again the problem lies with high turn-over in the industry. Im smart, savvy, experienced enough to see right through the BS, to understand that AI metrics arent all that. Some 22 year old college kid, who just left moms basement, on his first job, with no life experience has no other choice but to rely on 411 or Assure metrics because he doesnt know any better. Thats not even counting the folks in the back office who process a carrier who are hourly and dont give a crap to look into it any further, so they just look at Assure and say no.

Shame its this way. But we all know how shady many of the characters in this industry are and to protect their book of business, brokers have to do something to keep tabs on the worst of the bad actors.

Your right a place that has the potential to ruin your business posting something negative without being notified and offered the opportunity to respond immediately to prevent false or misleading reports before they are completed should be illegal.
I hope someone finds untrue reports and sues both the company that manages it and the ones responsible for the report.

If the report is false and proof existed it should not exist with or without a rebuttal!

What about those who just look at the tip of the story but don't read what was actually written or the rebuttal?

What’s crazy is they claim all information is taken from Fmcsa information, and any false information should be taken up with them. However they then take the Liberty of suggesting based on their artificial intelligence program, that there’s a high risk of double brokering. It’s crazy. They misinterpret my in house audit, following an accident in 08 as my new carrier audit, which was in 04. For some reason the only thing that shows up on safer is the 08 audit. The artificial intelligence interprets it as never having one single roadside inspection. I’ve had over 60, in 19 years. None since 2019. I’ve enjoyed the reprieve. Considering the way just a few bad inspections can affect a one Truck operation much worse than multiple truck operations, My safety record is stellar. Trying to keep it that way. I’ll get inspected soon enough. Not going to volunteer for one. I shouldn’t have to.
