I think their school in conley is just for GA residents. Don't quote on that but there is a bunch of guys in my class from Alabama.

Thanks! I find out soon enough...I just emailed an app to Central!

Im sure you will hear from them in about 12-14 hours. i talked to my recruiter 15 mins after i put in my app. Her name was nicole, and she gave me straight forward info every time, and so far has never told me any lies.JustSonny Thanks this.

if you think of going with FFE just make sure you try to get onto an actual FFE truck/fleet manager. Everything is/was under the same banner when I left, but there were still some differences. I know I got better miles being an "FFE" driver than my friends who were with AE dispatchers.

Did you know Central Refer is owned by Swift? Central Freight too.
Do the longer Votech or community college route. Especially if they offer PTDI certification. My first choice was Crete, they want PTDI. My work history cut me from their list. They pay better than I am starting at. They have APU's too.JustSonny Thanks this. -
Ya know somethin' RT, if it gets to the point where I'm having to decide between 2 carriers, there's a helluva a good chance that if one has APUs and the other doesn't.....the APUs could tilt the scale. I can get adequate rest with reasonable extremes in temps but from what I've heard drivers talking about here on the forums, how the hell does any driver avoid fatigue when temps are extreme and there's no relief.

IIRC Swift's policy is over 90* you can idle. My truck will shut down if you idle too long. There is a bypass.
I did use the Wabasto heater Saturday morning. The thermostat works on it. No idling necessary!JustSonny Thanks this. -

I've got my CDL manual right here on my desk beside me...
I am sending in paperwork so they can verify my employment. I didn't want to tip off my current employer of the possibility of my vacating my current position. So, I did not let them call the current employer. The ladies at Roehl have been very helpful.
I am actually hoping the 14th will work out for me as well. I live over in PA so I don't have as far to travel as you.
I'm little worried about getting up there and being sent packing for something silly. I took my DOT here and failed because of high sugar levels. Everything else is a go. I've cut out all of the coke I've been drinking. Doing more to stay active and all that. I know they do a physical agility test or something there. Have you heard about that?JustSonny Thanks this.
