I was just joking and 11 years accidents and tickets free means a lot and he deserves a better pay package than what they offered him and i bet WERNER ENTERPRISES would offer more than 0.32 cpm because of his experience.

the vast majority of trucking co are making record profits. on the drivers backs. it like being in the ditch and they kick sand in your face and till you to dig faster

He IS welcome to work at higher paying companies !

He should have known their pay rate.

    as well as orientation pay.

    However,

I never would work at a place

that requires a company driver having an escrow account.

I was thinking the same thing---that is a 5 minute phone conversation...not a $200.00 drive & hotel. What is wrong with people?

The recruiter told me that it was paid orientation, but would not elaborate, i figured at the very least we would get a minimum wage rate, i was wrong, as too the person who suggested i failed a road test or drug test, i did not fail anything but you will just have to take my word for that, or not. I have been on this forum for quite a long time and i don't think i have ever posted a negative comment about a trucking company before, my intent of this post is to try and help someone else who may be looking at hiring on with CF and may now seek some hard figures from the recruiter b4 going to orientation, im not saying they are a terrible company although they do have bad CSA scores, i have not worked for them, only attended 2 days orientation, in fact the people i spoke to there were all very nice, but that does not fill my pockets, 32cpm is low money, $50 pay total for 4 days orientation is insulting, while there are people willing to accept these low wages we will all have to suffer, saying that, if i was broke and had no other options sure i would have given it a go, agree or disagree that's up to you...............

It's just like anything... The most productive drivers are those that are "hungry" If i made a boat load of money, What's making me want to work harder?

Moving freight is the name of the game... It is at any company. I'd rather make $.35-$.40 a mile and not be micro-managed, Than make $.48 a mile and be micro managed, e-logs, routing, fuel stops etc...
    It's just business.
Some places need to get with the times, I do agree.. But some act like this is the most difficult job ever.

    And hopefully you did.
That right there is enough for ME to hang up, and look elsewhere.
I atleast wanna hear the lies they're gonna tell me via telephone before I make the trip to orientation.

You learned an expensive lesson....hope others take heed.
