And it helps when the dock doors have no line on the ground.

I've used everything from a rock to a piece of trash to even just a shiny coin for that. Anything to help see where the front of the trailer needs to be to be perpendicular to the dock.

I've been to a number of brand new warehouses. I've used my 2 gloves to represent the line that should have been painted on the ground. Sometimes its harder to back in with too much space as normal amount of space.

When dealing with 'frozen brakes' I like making the chalk mark at 12 o'clock on all the tires, makes it easier to see which one actually moved, which one moved a little and which not at all.

    tscottme Thanks this.

Understandable. You used chalk I used paint. I don't think I ever had chalk in my truck. I did keep a grease pencil because sometimes I used my glass to write important things like gate codes etc.

I thot Chalk was used to outline bodies as seen in those spoon fed shows-n-movies.

I never used Chalk as a driver since I never played hop scotch in a truck stop....or any other large yard.

Markers, spray paint, reflectors = yep.

Or, meet you on the other side of the weigh station. I bet the state troopers would have a good laugh if they saw that.
