Carrying firearms in a truck

How do you figure? The ONLY way to stop an armed criminal is with armed resistance...or patience while they have their way with whomever they please until they get bored with it and stop on their own....or until they run out of ammo.

If it were your wife or child in the room, would you rather a law-abiding citizen have a firearm to confront the armed attacker and possibly put an end to the attack? ...or everyone just sit quietly and try to comply with the attacker's demands while the criminal executes them one by one...hoping that he runs out of ammo before he gets to your wife & kid?

 

Ever seen the effects of adrenaline?

We have had training and the police even have problems with control in these situations.

But, you can believe whatever you want.

 

Which is apparently what they did. They sat there like sheep waiting for the slaughter.
Never understood why they didn't at least rush the guy. Why weren't they enraged enough to do that?
I suppose the adrenaline Roadmedic refers to was in short supply that day.

 

There are other reactions that come to play as well. Fear will also be a major issue too.

 

Fear...it manifests itself differently from person to person.

It will turn some people into begging, crying idiots...and it will turn some people into The Terminator (for lack of a better term).

I myself am not immune to fear...but I have the disposition of a grizzly bear.

 

Also known as Fight or Flight....

 

Yep...our strongest and most primal instinct.
