As long as you use the generator every day, the battery will outlast everything else.
Dino soar Thanks this. -
I'd like to know how you get em fired up every day.
My ryobi won't start without ether if it sits more then 18 hours. -

I filled predator yesterday then started it and the ac. This morning I started the truck let it run for a bit BUT instead of turning the generator off with the remote I did it outside when doing my pretrip..... this is how long it had been running.... check the tank and it LOOKED empty but still running.... how much longer would it have kept going... 5min maybe 30min I don't know....

200 hours: Pull cord chewed through and fell off.
450 hours: overfilled the gas tank and saturated the charcoal canister, causing it to run rich and smoke. I took it off, chucked it in the trash and vented the tank to the outside of the case.
Unknown hours: because I had removed the plastic panel from around the muffler, in order to be able to hook up the exhaust, rain got inside and on top of a little module that is screwed to the side of the case. When water collects on top of that thing, the engine will not run or will run very poorly and only with the choke on.
3000 hours: Starter relay failed
4500 hours: display panel failed
At this point, I took it off the truck and bought a new one. It still worked. After going through four or five replacements, each only lasting about 200 hours before they would stop running, I put the original back on the truck.
5000+ hours: The starter itself failed and I swapped it for a new one off the last non-running 3500 that i had kept.
6000+ gazillion hours: I replaced it with a Honda EG2800i... it still runs and works. I'm going to see if parts from the ancient one will get the 200 hour non-running one to go again. -
One other thing you may want to be careful of that I forgot about in my other write up; if you're using a remote to start and stop it, the gas doesn't shut off to the carb when it's off unless you use the knob.
I ran mine out of gas once, filled it up, started it back up and proceeded to cook some dinner. Because it wasn't really hot out, I didn't notice that the generator had shut off shortly after I started it back up. The float was stuck and it flooded. All 2 1/2 gallons of gas drained out through the float bowl overflow tube and onto the ground. Not a good situation.
If you run it out if gas, keep an eye on it to make sure it's running ok and not dumping fuel on the ground before retiring for the night.flood Thanks this. -
