I have to say that after being with various companies and finding my niche in the industry. A team run which is no longer on the road more than 3-4 days a week with a full 3 days off at least...and have to have a route...preferably to somewhere like Texas from Ohio. With darn good pay....Carter has gone the distance and then some...
When I first signed on after Carter got a certain contract from my past employer I will admit I was skeptical but loved my route so went with them....first thing I noticed was my fatter paycheck...then my monthly team sign on bonus. Then all the great people in dispatch and the upper management.
I will admit I am all about the $$$ but here you get the full treatment....Did I mention all the fuel and safety bonuses? Vandalia is the newest in the Carter family... Cannot speak about the other terminals because I have never been to any of them and heard mixed stories especially from the day drivers but all the route teams I have talked to love them... Been here going on two years now So if you live near Dayton and want a change....contact Carter....you won't regret it....

Need4Speed and Lonewarrior Thank this. -
We idle and as far as I know they have no policy against it.
I think otr drivers can but you would have to ask,we park at the terminal.Need4Speed Thanks this. -
Do you have any info on solo drivers and the pay they get per mile or perdiem.
All Volvo trucks with auto .
i am thinking of going with Carter in Anderson , Indiana and I would think they probably run close to the same routes as Ohio.
Can you tell me some of the places you go , are they hard to get into , do trucks have APU , fridge , GPS , Sirrus radio
Any info you can share would really help , thanks -

Check that out before you ever agree to work there, they do nit care about people at all! -
Its a trucking company like any other. They don't always the clear water from the employment pool, and how they operate is reflective of that... like any other....
That being said, i do some loads from that place sometimes and would consider working there if i lived nearby. -
