Double R, not to get too off topic but do you mind I ask who you drive for?

I agree with "Off duty is Off duty." Oh- you're NOT required to provide receipts for Hotels, the companies require them, not the Government.

I say, "Camp out and enjoy yourself". Your choice of sleeping accommodations outside of your tractor are YOUR BUSINESS. What a cool idea!

In the old days, before A/C, drivers hung a hammock under the trailer to sleep in.

And, thinking outside the box? Good job, thumbs up! You might even design a "Driver's Tent"- patent it and sell them.

I wouldn't sleep under the trailer without a string of cans and a loaded pistol in each hand. If the crackheads in the city don't get you, the bears and cougars will. Not to mention snakes, scorpions, spiders, etc.

I live in Texas. We make breakfast sausage out of Rattlesnakes. Scorpions are overrated, nobody died the last time I got stung by one. It hurt like hell but pain is weakness leaving the body.

My ancestors weren't afraid of 'em, I ain't turning wimp, either.

As they say a picture is worth a thousand words. Take a picture of the tent with the truck parked in background. Log it on line 1 off duty.

Well the weather was too #### perfect last night. But what the heck, the company was footing the bill and I got the no-tell motel anyway. It was the Allegheny National Forrest BTW.

I've made about 3 runs up there so far to a government-run institution there. Nothing top secret, just that the freight is unloaded by a bunch of State employed union loyalists. Which is another way of saying DAAAAAAMMMMMN SSSSSSSSLLLLLOOOOOWWWWWLLLYYY.:biggrin_25513:

We averaged about 12 PIECES per hour!:biggrin_25526:

I should have put in for another night in the hotel!

What if I "pitch a tent" while I'm driving? How should I log that?
