i have a 2012 dd15 cascadia. today my check light came on then stop light but never shut off. i been getting ecu 1 code each day at start up for a while now but no issues. also my def fluid level on dash went from 3 green bars to 1 red blinking bar. and now my truck will go max 55mph in 10th gear. in 9th it goes 55 mph too 1600 rpm. 1200rpm in 10th. any idea what it can be. im scheduled to go to shop monday but im really worried. the truck doesnt have the def active btw so its not the low fluid.

get the code and I will tell what could be the problem. You have a problem with aftertreatment system

It sounds like your truck has started the Government mandates shut down. If you haven’t yet, DON’T fuel or fill your DEF. It’ll tell the ACM that your in civilization and will shut you down to 5mph. (That’s not a typo). Your best bet is to drive to what ever shop your headed for Monday and shut it down.
The government codes show up after an after treatment fail code has been active for a set amount of miles or time. The 55mph limit with the DEF light flashing is the second to last severity. Next step involves a hook.

If you can enter your dash diagnostic code read out you should find a SPN number and a Fail number. Get us that and we may be able to help you fool it long enough to get the the shop.
