Same problem regeneration won't complete. Shop said injector 4 needs replaced, filters baked, outlet knox and inject harness 3500 in repairs. I wonder if any one of these alone will get me back on the road. Clearly the 4th injector needs done immediately or my engine could be in trouble but will it clear the stop and let the regen complete?

It's possible that replacing the injector harness will make injector 4 happy again, but a good shop would have already tested for that using a good harness. As for the filter bake, that usually depends on how long it has been since the last filter bake.
I have an 09. My last filter bake was around $600. An new injector harness should be about $270. A bench tested reman injector would be maybe $400, and a new nox sensor is about $350. Is the rest all labor? I don't see that many hours of work in this job. -

These filters don’t like idling for too long, clogs them up. Next time your starter goes bad jump the starter - with a wire touch the starter solenoid to the positive cable on the starter and it will start barring you don’t have any other issues. Keeps the life of the filter to last longer.

Just for the sake of prudence, I'd call another dealer and double check those parts prices.
If it has 700K miles on it then it should have had two filter bakes already. You have to do them every 300K miles. The ECM throws a code and turns on the CEL when it's time. -

I have to ask how they know #4 inj needs replaced? If they are basing it solely on the “idle speed balance test” then it may just need a good overhead valve adjustment. I say that because I’ve seen it on lower mileage higher engine hr DD15. And at 700k it would be due for its 4th overhead.
But like mhyn said, a bad injector won’t keep it from completing a regen. A bad NOX sensor would keep it from clearing the check engine light, but it would still run a full (@45min to 1hr) regeneration. -
Outlet knox fixed didnt make regen work. Bking dpf now hoping to finishnregen
