... and not in a good way. i can't seem to prevent ice & snow from building up on the windshield & wipers. i literally have defroster on full blast and the inside of the cab is 90 degrees but the visible portion of the window just keeps shrinking until i pull over and scrape it clean. this is only with 25 degree outside temps too... as an added bonus, the antennae cake with ice & then start violently beating the cab... did anyone at freightliner test drive this thing in winter?!
any known solutions?

Check you heater and cab vents, is there air coming through them with defrost on>If there is the HVAC doors require adjustment.

Little update: some improvement can be found by adding those $4.99 windshield wiper helper springs. it turns out that the last inch or so of the oem wiper blades do not touch the windshield while at rest. ice builds up there first and eventually grows beyond that inch... stronger springs help force all of the wiper against the windshield and do seem to help prevent that cycle from starting.

I just put a 24" set of these onto my Cascadia.

DON'T buy them in a truck stop though.
They do however work great. I get a full clean wipe and they don't float on the windshield even at 65 mph and with a nice 25 mph head wind. -
Re the demist issue:
When using the demister, try lowering the visors to trap the hot air on the windshield. Normally works for me.
Why trucks here dont come with heated windshields is beyond me. Not expensive to add, and clear the glass faster than hot air alone.

How i fixed mine:
1 Shut down truck for 5 min
2 Turn dial to defrost and full heat
Start tuck
3 Rev up to about 1300 rpm for 10 to 15 minutes
While reving no lights, no radio, nothing -
