Hey guys.
I have a 2015 freightliner cascadia with 590k miles and dd15 engine. Recently, my driver has been complaining that the truck shuts off automatically while driving and all dash lights turn on and shuts the truck off. Took it to a shop, they found corrosion on the batter terminals and loose terminals so they tightened that and found a loose ignition wire so tightened that aswell. Last week the same thing happened with him and now i m driving the truck to the shop but i see the battery voltage fluctuation. It would fluctuate from 14.2 to 15.3 then 16.2.
Can someone please advice me for this problem.
Could it be the PNDB?
Any advice is appreciated.

I had to change out the PNDB on mine 50-60k ago, I’m now at 590, it’s very possible, if it is that box, it’ll do it more and more.

Start with the grounds, not the battery terminals but the grounds from the ecm, the chassis harness and the batteries.

In my case its bad coolant level sensor , mechanic said he changed something through the ECM so my truck doesn't shut off ...have it first 30 min after startFarmerbob1 Thanks this. -
I was told by Freightliner that this was a known problem. It might have even been a recall item.
I do not know if your 2015 has the same relay box mine had, but it's something to look at.Vampire Thanks this. -
