If Federal Government Freezes your bank accounts, then that's that until you deal with Uncle Sam.

The State Government and County Government each have similar broad powers to seize and halt (Kill) a banking account all that you own.

    Your first problem is cash.

As a company driver I spent about a year moving around way too much to worry about stupid problems like the bank closes in 5 minutes. Big deal, I took my check to a check cashing place and for 6.40 I had a thick wad of 20's and tens on down.

I did that for year. No banking in sight.

Until I learned to throw 10.00 into a checking account one month and stick another 10.00 into it another month etc. diddled with the #### thing to entertain myself when in need of money. Eventually that account formed the first of trucking savings. Pull into a Casino have have a accountant wire the funds to that account and it will be there (Or vice versa, you write a check on it)

Regardless of your money troubles, You do not borrow money from anyone at the fuel desk. You will pay your fuel. You will pay your oils and so on.

    Borrow money NO.

Every atom in my body that I am ever as a American Long Haul Trucker will be playing the Role of Weezy in the 9th floor apartment and whack you over the head with that giant bursh about what you don't is in it. WHACK.

How dare you.... Whack! Borrow our... Whack.... #### money?> Whack? You listening downt thar. Turn up those #### hearing aids, ...whack!!.. get out there and turn that money back in you aint borry noffin till friday.

The only option to get out from under a total and absote destruction of your finanical system by the County, State or Federal Authorities because you are in big trouble Miser. Is to simply not be around. Dont exist. Go find people who know how to keep you under a pallet a while. You might even work something job for cash which would be completely outisd the perview and thus a legitimate working stff job.

When you get your home banking settled with NO interference in anyones way then you can rebuild your life.

Now if you have a robobitch riding your coins for money you will never have in 50 lifetimes, then Borrow in cash from your company. Borrow tot he hilt.

    ALWAYS SET 80% aside.

When your company discoveres the magnitude of your real problem with Mrs ROBO intent on destroying your job with yet anohter garnishing suit of law collections etc.

at that point you are unemployed. next trucking company asks you what happened? You say shewolf child support and then shut up. When you hire on borrow again like crazy never to expose your lifestyle motivated driven by cash.

Be like the ferengi Accumulte the #### out of those 100 doollar bills.

Post pone, throw a wrench into allow half of your paper boxes to escape in a storm ao son.

In other words go down swinging.

If you do this right and the smoke clears there is no getting blood out of a stone. But you cannot do anything with that to-do money just yet.

I’m consistently amazed that so few people carry any amount of cash. I always have an emergency bill, or two, folded away just in case. It’s kept me out of trouble several times.

Fraud, power outage, internet outage, whatever, pay and go on anyway.

Company suddenly goes belly up and all the cards they gave you are now worthless. Power outage, you have NOTHING. Even if you run local, you need to have cash on you.

But, they act as if they’re on holiday. As long as they have Cheetos, porn, beanbag chair and video games, they don’t feel the need to plan ahead.

Exactly. Even being a local driver I always keep $100 on me (5-$20, not a single $100 in case someone won't be able to make change). You just never know what you might need and when.

This is taking this thread a whole different direction, but I snapped a yoke on a truck one fine Friday, late afternoon (LATE afternoon) on a holiday weekend. Called around for someone to come fix it, and nobody answered..... except one guy.

His question was: how much cash can you pay?

Well, I had five Benjamins in my trip packet. Guy came out, ran the parts on a card, the labor on the Benjamins, and I went home for the long weekend. I've had similar experiences with tire guys. Not interested in coming out late at night, until you mention paying in cash.

    It makes a difference.
