who said their wasnt money to be made in car haul like i said you can make it at cassens in years to come. but being low man on the pole the senior guys are gonna get the gravy and new guys are gonna get the less desireable work. your right about giving a job they gave us one im just trying to help people who are on here looking for answers about the company. therefore im still working there and putting in my time cashing my checks. so im glad i could make you laugh today.

I was a Teamster Carhauler for United Transports and Jack Cooper for a long time and retired in 2002...Carhaul is very hard work when you first get in it...but the sweat and bumps and bruises really pay off if you stay with it a few years...Old timers used to tell me " Should have got off the plow sooner " when I complained as a young car hauler...Gotta ask yourself if it's better to work for 35...38 cpm ( 1980s wages ) at some fly by nite freight outfit or make over a dollar a loaded mile as a Cassens carhauler...plus loading....skid drops...breakdown pay...holiday pay...great health and welfare....great pension benefits..Sure it's hard work and hard to get established....but old guys like me who have maximum retirement money and really live good would love to be young and do it all over
skinnytrucker, spacetrucker88 and Pullin2 Thank this. -
