No, you didn't use my name. You didn't hurt my feelings.

What you did is direct your prior post as a punishment towards anybody that does ECM work for not instantly answering your questions. Since I do a large amount of this type of work, I took offense to it. You basically stated that you were going to give your business to anybody Monday morning that would answer their phone during normal business hours regardless of that company's pricing policies or reputation, because you didn't get a response to your question fast enough. With the question you asked which you stated as "Yall rich?" came across as money was the only reason I do what I do and I had made so much from every past customer that your money didn't interest me..........first off, I don't do what I do for the money. I never started doing this as a source of income, I started doing this because people asked me questions that no CAT dealer in the country would ever answer, let alone have the answers to the questions. I answer the questions, because when I was searching for the answers myself many years ago. Nobody would give me the answers even if they knew them. They were after my money and wanted to work on my truck with an open check book...........wasn't happening. I wanted the knowledge of exactly how to do it, because I wanted to understand how it was done and make my choices in my own engine upgrades for power. I wanted the best results for the least amount of $$$$$ invested in the upgrades. Not what some else claims is the best for their wallet, with the same results in power gains that has been sold to 10 other guys.

I spent a considerable amount of time Fri, Sat, and Sunday working on my engine getting ready for a dyno contest tomorrow. I answer my phone Mon-Fri and at times I am so busy with it that I can't pick up anything with my hands to do something else that needs to get done. I got on here to only check messages during this time and never looked at the postings on the board, so I didn't see your question until after you got upset that you couldn't get an instant response. Most everybody that posts a question about CAT engines is directing that question towards me or is hoping that I will input some information in the answers of others.

As you can see money wasn't a motivator for me to send you a PM. I'm not rich and I doubt I ever will be, because money isn't a motivator in my life and never has been. When it comes to a CAT engine and making one run........that is a motivator in my life. Hp has been something I've enjoyed since I could do wheelies with an old Allis-Chalmers tractor as a kid many years ago. Do I know my stuff??????? Come to Antrim's Diesel Service Dyno Day Contest in Greencastle PA tomorrow and see for yourself

Google Clean Slate Environmental "The Low Life" driven by John O Keefe show truck. This truck is out of Portland CT. The owner called me with a problem he was having.......I drove 7 1/2 hours one way to fix it before the Wildwood Fl show, I arrived at 10:30PM and left at 12:30AM to go home..............................

The CAT 3406C engines were notorious for two things. The first was having the nozzles plug therefore restricting fuel flow. The other by-product of that plugging was the internal leakage of the individual injection pumps thereby reducing fuel pressure to the nozzles. You should first have a CAT shop pull out all of the injection pumps and see if there is internal leakage. Most CAT shops will lap the barrel and bonnett and replace. Some may charge you or may have to charge you for a new injection pump(individual) not the whole body bolted to the block.

I spent a lot of man hours fixing a truck owners complaint of low power (working for CAT dealer for ten years) doing everything but the lapping of the bonnetts to include turning fuel up and nothing. Finally a good valve adjustment works wonders also.
