Hey Walt,
All Aus trucks work as follows, I would assume yours is the same.
The brake switch gets power from pin 14 on the OEM plug on the ecm and returns to the OEM plug at pin 29 (sensor return). This is a simple loop, wire from pin 14 goes to one side of the switch, wire from pin 29 to the other side of the switch. No relays or fuses. BTW pin 29 is a return for a lot of other sensors so you have to tee any new wires into it rather than cut it out. There will be two switchs, make sure your checking the right one, one is for the ECM, the other is for your brake lights.

so what quit working? or is your problem that the jakes won't cut off? don't really understand the question

when you turn the switch on nothing happens. it has two switches one for 2 cyl and one for 4cyl.the brake pedal wont shut off the cruise control unless you step on it as hard as you can.it dosent have a switch at the brake pedal. thanks for the replys so far. Walt

if u need to press the brake pedal hard for that to happen check if the brake switch is ok maybe it is sticking
WallyGator Thanks this. -
The switches will probably be air pressure switches, either on or near the treadal valve or on the fire wall in the engine bay.
