My Cat bit the bullet yesterday. I know of a wrecked Freightliner with the same engine only it has an 18 speed. I have a 10. Can i swap this engine into a Pete? I realize I'll have to swap mounts etc... Anything other than that?

If it's the same engine then it will be a direct bolt in. Not to hard to figure out.
    Both E models assuming?

Oxbow, AModelCat and SAR Thank this.

Yes so just re@re mounts from engine to engine if not the same. Oil pan if front or rear sump. Accessorys like alt and A/c need swapped over as well.

Good time to do a clutch and new engine mounts as well. Maybe rear main seal if old or leaking?

Oxbow, SAR and 062 Thank this.

Get the whole thing resealed while you have it out, save some headaches later down the road.

I think paccar uses a different engine bell housing. Paccar has a different degree of slope where mounts bolt on if I remember correctly.
