I've read on here many times before about acert twins being a superior setup to the single on a 6NZ. You guys would know. But having recently had a turbo grenade for no real reason, and paying thru the nose for an overpriced replacement. I'm #### sure glad I didn't have to buy two at once. One was bad enough.

The block is junk the rod will have beat the bottom of the liner, distorting and or cracking the block, the head will be junk, the piston will have hit it, the oil cooler is junk from metal contamination, and possibly the cam from stress when the piston hit the valves.
I would get an estimate on a rebuilt, complete drop in rebuild from Cat with a warrenty, and prices from other jobbers, once you open an engine it becomes a can of worms, and a lot of things you did not expect come up.
You have to price in a pilot bearing, possible clutch, flywheel grinding, hoses, belts and ?
Just a thought!wore out Thanks this. -
I sent you a PM keep the BXS change your clutch choice to a 2250 EZ-peddle, if you rebuild it correctly you will need it. I know the block is junk but BXS is the way to go.

no their the same 6nz 70 pin bxs 70 pin I own one !! but lose the twins not needed just more expense

I don't think acert turbos has as much power compare to 6nz or mbn.
-
turbos will support 800hp.

I'm with SmokinCat on the twins. For a working truck they are more than plenty. And yea they can be expensive, but how often do we really grenade a turbo. For me the instant response on the throttle without the lag and the fuel millage are worth the expense.
