Mine was a 500 hp, 15 over and it would overboost to about mp 50 in and cutoff for a second when the oil temp was down. After it warmed up boost dropped off to 45 in and ran OK. It would get 4.9 from Baltimore to Sea. Sea to Balt got around 5.8-6 depending on a load. I had a 379 with standup walkin and a covered wagon. Topped out at 91 MPH and I usually ran 75 from Iowa west and back, 65 E of IA and 60 in OH. The only problem I ever had was 1 injector went out.

I'm going to be looking for a little more power from an old mack 350 soon.....lol.

i pull a bucket mostly running east coast, so with the mbn motor your pretty much looking at getting the same mpg as with the acert motor? there also a few trucks with isx im looking at what do you suggest would be more reliable and get better mpg? If i go with the mbn how much would i be looking at to get it to get more power and mpg? Thanks in advance

There's better turbos out there than the stage 5 that's for sure, IMO I think the exhaust housing is a bit big for the 14.6 motor even with 59s, it's a lag monster, with the huge exhaust wheel and housing it has the Jake can't spin it hard enough. I personally think the new 7cz flash you guys are doing on a 14.6 with a 550 turbo and ported manifold, fuel wire is the cats meow. Can't argue with 700whp.

This turbo is hard to find, PM me. It also takes a special exhaust flange adapter.........I have an extra one if you decide to try the turbo, otherwise you'll have to make up something to work. I have a source that had a number of them in stock, but last time I checked.....he didn't have very many left. I have another dealer that was going to stock one, but the price was going to be higher.
I have a friend that happens to be friendly with a Borg-Warner Turbo Systems engineer.........we supplied the parts list to build a stage 5 and told the engineer the size and power level of the engine........the engineer came up with a cheaper way to build the stage 5, but said if you want a better turbo........you need to run this. He wasn't kidding either, it's a S500 frame with a much larger shaft. The compressor wheel uses the new design Extended Tip Technoligy for faster spool up......the inducer is larger for more air flow and the exducer is smaller for faster spool up. The turbine is larger for more flow, but with the matching of the compressor wheel...........it spools faster, so you have more boost at lower RPM of the turbo. It's is the best turbo I've run for doing the power I'm doing and working it. Everything works easier and EGT's and water temperatures are down.
