I am looking to upgrade trucks. I pull a tanker so I am weight conscious. Found a nice 07 T 600 , 370 K miles , ext war, 3.55 rears , 13 spd, C 13 Cat . Stamped weight of 16,500. I have searched the posts and don't find alot of info on the C 13. I like the truck but had kinda scratched Cat off the list. Any one have anything good to report on the C13?

I've got one with over 400k miles with no problems. It's in a T800 daycab with a 10spd. Runs really good for a small engine. It pulls a grain hopper most of the time but has been pulling a 4 axle flat hauling steel coils for a couple weeks and I'm actually impressed on the power. Runs circles around the N14 it replaced.

The only engine part I've replaced was one of the steel bellows between the turbos.

Thanks for the reply. I was beginning to think there were no C13 in trucks. Sounds like you pull at or over 80,000. What fuel mileage are you getting. Again thanx

There's plenty of them out there. Most around here locally are in dump trucks. It's a good motor, at least I have no complaints. It's only been hauling over 80k for the past few weeks. The majority of it's life it pulls a grain hopper on short runs (100miles round trip) so fuel mileage is around 5.5. It gets over 6 on a longer trip but that's very seldom for that truck. Both the truck & trailer are on super singles because like a tanker it's a very weight sensitive job. Plain and simple I wouldn't think twice about buying another.
