Does anyone have any idea where the wires feed from going to the TPS?
2003 CAT 6NZ in a 379 Pete.
Trying to track down where these wires come from. Wondering if my occasional lazy throttle is related to a chaffe wire or other. And, has anyone ever opened up the OEM plug ( the plug on the right when looking at the ECM) and if opening it up is possible, has anyone ever found corroded / green or other compromised connections inside the plug ?
CAT C15 /6NZ trouble continues

Your truck wiring digram has been posted multiple times in a couple of your threads. Tps wires will be on it.
If you unplug the oem connector, any corrosion will be visible on the face. -
I've unplugged the oem connector weeks ago with nothing showing irregular.
On my prior truck, 97 Pete 3406e 5ek, the plug easily opened up , where oxydization was more than prevalent there in. But this plug is different in configuration / design, hence my question pertaining to ability to open up the plug.
Yes, wiring schematics have previously been posted, but that was not my endeavour. I'm trying to locate the wires themselves, where they are routed etc.
If my time allowed I'd play all day. But cancer has got me hard, I have to take my pills somewhere between ending the work week and starting again, which makes me horrifically sick. And still squeeze in truck repairs so I can keep banking $ for my family for after I'm gone. Tight schedule.. -
@spsauerland posted a complete wiring diagram of your truck on post #8snowman_w900 and Oxbow Thank this. -

The tps wires come from the ecm. If it has a 70 pin ecm I think they are pin #'s 4, 5 & 66.

Just by chance. Do you know where the main ground wire is connected on the cab of a Pete of this year/ A year near 2003 Pete 379 ?
I tell ya why I ask. I picked up my truck this morning at the shop I use where it was in for the annual check. I'm hooking up to my trailer there and forgot to ask the tech about my volt meter being always so high, over 15 volts. I put a new alternator on last month after the bearings burned out, and new batterys 12 months ago. Regardless, the volt meter has been high before and after .
Not wanting to disturb the tech who was deep into his work, I snapped a picture of the high needle on the meter and text it to him to reply when he had time.
He replied saying its due to either a bad battery or two, or the negative wire to the cab from the batterys broken or corroded off or close to it.
So, before I spend countless hours looking for it ( the cab main ground wire) I thought I would ask.
I'm thinking if it is as common as I'm told, perhaps I will find correcting it to resolve not only my volt meter issue, but others as well...??
Worth a shot, and I have lots of 4 guage and 6 guage wire in my shop to install another..
Thanks again..
Dan
